This week my aunt and I decided we'd like to learn a new skill!  There are so many fun classes available in the area for art, crocheting, knitting, and more!  The class that we took was with a company called Spirited Art Scranton which provided us with all the supplies we needed, smocks, and a wonderful instructor whose first words to us were "In this room, there are no mistakes."  The class was fun and ran about an hour and a half. Saturday, September 26, 2015 at EverGreen Elementary from 10-1 The Hamlin Rotary Club, myself included, will be giving out car seats, booster seats & bicycle helmets will be available at NO CHARGE!  One car seat per child will be offered while supplies last.

August 26 has been playfully declared National Dog Day!  In order to celebrate the day, I wanted to introduce my sweet Pug, Miguel!  Earlier this year, my husband and I went to the Dessin Animal Shelter in Honesdale, as we had been thinking about adopting a dog for a while.  We strolled through the isle of pens peeking in at the eager faces and reading their brief profiles posted outside their doors describing the animal's name, breed, and temperament.

I've never been a thrill seeker, never one who thought I'd enjoy jumping out of perfectly good airplanes or taking impromptu trips to Europe.  However, when my good friend asked me if I'd like to try white water rafting, I decided to take a step outside my comfort zone.  So my husband and I made the hour drive to Jim Thorpe to meet our friends, donned our life jackets, and signed the intimidating paperwork in case of death or loss of limb.  We then rode a bus from the Pocono Whitewater facility...
